Summer Camp

Opportunity Music Project’s intensive 10-day Summer Camp offers a unique opportunity for OMP Honors Orchestra students to work in a small chamber group such as a trio, a quartet, or a quintet, and rehearse under the guidance of a professional musician coach. Students rehearse in an orchestral setting, attend master classes, and technique classes. They also participate in musical outings as part of the curriculum, finishing the summer with a citywide a performance tour.

Student performances occur in venues across New York City including community centers and hospitals such as St. Mary’s Hospital for Children in Bayside Queens and Mount Sinai Hospital and the Lighthouse Guild in Manhattan.
